How to convert photos to a PDF on iPhone and iPad

Photos to PDF in Unlock my PDF turns the photos you pick into one PDF, one photo per page. JPG, PNG and the iPhone's HEIC photos all work, and you choose the order, the page size and the margins.

Step by step

  1. Step 1

Open Photos to PDF and add the photos

In the Tools tab, tap Photos to PDF. Tap From Photos to pick from your photo library (up to 60 at a time), or From Files for images saved in Files.

  2. Step 2

    Put them in order

Drag the photos into the order the pages should have. Each photo becomes one page.

  3. Step 3

    Choose how the pages look

Under Pages, keep As photos or make them all portrait or landscape. Under Page size, Automatic gives each page the shape of its photo; A4 and Letter make every page the same paper size. Turn on White margin around photos if you'll print it.

  4. Step 4

    Slide to create the PDF

Drag Slide to create. When the PDF is Ready, tap Share or Save to Files.

Good to know

A4 or Letter?

A4 is the standard paper size in Europe and most of the world, Letter in the United States and Canada. Choose the one the PDF will be printed on, or keep Automatic if it will only be read on screen.

Paper documents

For receipts, contracts or forms on paper, Scan to PDF works better than photos: it straightens the page, fixes the perspective and can make the text searchable.

The app sees only the photos you pick

Photos are chosen with the iOS photo picker: Unlock my PDF doesn't get access to your whole library, only to the photos you select.

The PDF is too heavy

Photos from recent iPhones are large. If the PDF is too big to send, compress it right after.
